Library floor plans will vary all over the world based on different aspects of the areas needs. It is amazing to think about all the different aspects that are to be considered when thinking about a libraries layout. With the different aspects considered when creating a floor plan it helps meet the needs of the different populations there are. This was a great starting point in being able to consider the different aspects, and the best way they could be implemented to help create a vision one has for a library while still being about to accommodate the users of the library.
In looking at the accessibility features which is 4.2 in the guide it helps talk about the space allowed. It helps relate to the accessible route and space making sure that there is ample space in between the areas making sure the users are not bumping into anything. For the clear space 4.2.4 it helps show the area of the library not having many items on the floor which makes it easy to maneuver. Along with the ample space provided it helps meet the needs of section 8.2 which includes space for students to complete work. In having the tables that allow users with fixed and flexible seating it allows them to interact with one another to read books or study for their classes.
In section 4.33.7 it discusses the inclusion of listening systems. This is a great inclusion where users are able to utilize the systems that are present such as the computers. This is a great open area that allows users to log into different websites to hear books or presentations that help accommodate their needs.

Overall, there are so many different aspects to consider when thinking about the set up for a library. All aspects are crucial because you want to allow everyone the opportunity to utilize the library resources and not be turned away because they are unable to access the resources provided in the library. The great thing that I learned in completing this assignment, was that it helps set up a plan with guidelines which also allows room for modifications in the future. Nothing is quite set and stone as for the bookshelves and tables which allow movement to take place to arrange the furniture as needed based on the change of population.
You have a great library floor plan, a lot of great space that's being used wisely. The library that I am at has the non-fiction and fiction all in one area, (it's hard to explain) I think over Christmas break that's going to be my project is to get all non-fiction books together in one area.
